How It Got Started

What is it that fuels each and every one of us in this world? For me, it is Moline High School Minority Leaders of Tomorrow. Our club was initially founded when a group of classmates attended a college fair at the University of Iowa. This field trip was specified for students of African-American or Hispanic descent. Its overall purpose was to influence students with a minority background about their goals for a college education. A group of us then got the idea of starting a club that emphasized the importance of minority students being prosperous in their academic life, and life in general. After receiving official consent from the principal, our club was in motion and still is. We have put a lot of effort into our club's mission as well as continuing to be noticed by not just students at MHS but by the community as a whole. With each passing day, Moline High School Minority Leaders of Tomorrow gains more followers, and with that, even more success.
